getting it off my chest

I'm sorry.

But this has been brewing inside of me for a while now and I
need to say it and get it over with.

Didja ever go to hear a Symphony Orchestra?

A piano concert maybe?

or

other stuff like that?

And if the performance was Really good - did you ever see the audience
rush the stage?

Didja ever hear of people getting trampled to death on the way out?

Ever heard of the members of the Orchestra flying home and people
beat them up when they got off of the plane if the concert wasn't that
good?

or

Ever seen the First Violinist get into a brawl with the Conductor?

No?

Neither have I.

i rest my case

Sorry but the italics key has a mind of its own.

Music soothes the savage breast?

Apollo and Dionysius are two completely different gods. Or are you with Midas and Marsyas who favour the Phyrgian mode over the Dorian? Would you ban the "lazy" Ionian and Lydian modes as well?

Ther - Isn't it supposed to be 'beast?'

Aren't you getting a little personal with me Ther? : )
~~~
My take on 'sports' is that it needs to step back and take a look at itself. And from what I see on the internet I think people are starting to do that.
Organized Sports has become Overblown - a legend in its own mind.
Ther - A long long time ago in a galaxy far away I studied a lot of music therapy.
But now the only modes I operate in are:
Housewife mode
my Real mode
and
my Joan of Arc mode
Why do you suppose that there are so many crazed sports fanatics, but not so many music fanatics?
of course... unless... you remember... the Beatles... or the Rolling Stones... or Altamont...
Mmmmm. Nope. The word "classical" never appeared.
-FJ - Ok. I'll grant you that.
But there are a Legion of key words like Symphony, Orchestra,
other stuff like that, First Violinest, and Conductor...
that point to what I was saying.
And only someone who was trying to trip me up would suggest that I would go to a R O C K Concert.
:]
but I'd be first in line to hear the Stones - even though they have not appeared on the same stage four years - according to RS
