the music man

Don't ask me why - but tonight I was thinking of the really great
1957 Broadway hit musical The Music Man - written and composed
by Meridith Wilson.

What a great musical.  If ever there was a great musical it has gotta
be the musical The Music Man.

So many good songs:

~Pick a Little/Talk a Little

~Ya Got Trouble

~76 Trombones

~The Sadder-But-Wiser Girl

~My White Knight

~The Wells Fargo Wagon (my personal fave)

~Lida Rose

~Marian the Librarian

~Gary, Indiana

~Finale - aren't finales great?

and this one:

there were bells
on a hill
but i never heard them ringing
no i never heard them at all
till there was you
there were birds
in the sky
but i never saw them winging
no i never saw them at all
till there was you
and there was music
and there were wonderful roses
they tell me
and sweet fragrant
meadows
of
dawn
and dew
there was love
all around
but i never heard it singing
no i never heard it at all
till
there
was
you

i'm ok - for now

:o)
