three new year's poems

Last night, while we were fast asleep,
The old year went away.
It can't come back again because
A new one's come to stay.

                                 ~Rachel Field

Should auld acquianctance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquiantance be forgot,
And auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' Kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

                             ~Robert Burns (1759-1796)

New Year's Day--
everything is in blossom!
I feel about average.
