the nutcracker

What I really like about life in 2011 is that for an inside girl
like me -  well I can experience the finest in life right here in
my own kitchen.

It's not even 10am on Saturday morning and I am sitting here
watching The Nutcracker on my flat screen.

Thrilling to the music of the incomparable Peter Ilyitch Tschaikovsky
while unbelievably talented ballet dancers leap and dance around in
ways that only they can.

And you know what folks?   They make it look so easy.

As if they hadn't spent hours on end since they were 3 - hours
of rigorous practice at the bar - thinking that they would break
into the big time only to find out that there is someone better than
they are.

I'm not really a ballet person -  Opera is my thing.


But does it really get any better than Ballet - why with piano
you use your hands -  and ok your arms too - but in ballet you
f*ing use every muscle in your entire body.
