One thing I do like about living here - though - is that shopping is so
easily accessible - especially now that the really big shopping opportunity
is upon us.
So I'm at Target and looking for a hard to find toy so I ask the people
in the electronics department if they can help me - and I'm thinking
Hey guys I hate to break up the gabfest (same thing happened over at
Best Buy the other day when I asked a guy to help me and he said with
a slightly sarcastic edge to his voice - see those guys over there who are
doing nothing but talking to each other? Check with them)
The electronics guy said Go to the red phone in the toy department
and wait and I'll send someone over to help you.
Now being inherently stupid I first stand and wait for a few minutes by
the red phone - the wrong one. I hurry over and find the toy department
red phone and wait self-consciously until it dawns on me to pick up the
red phone above which has a sign that says - pick up for help.
Now that same sign said help will arrive within 60 seconds so by this time
I'm losing patience and time it. Sure enough a guy comes over and I explain
what I want but of course they didn't have it
On the way out I bought a deep red thremal shirt - bad lieutenent starring
nicolas cage and a generic but brightly colored cheerful christmas card for
the TROOP I RECENTLY SIGNED UP TO SUPPORT...
and headed home.
pretty good huh

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Keep the passive side at home when you go shopping and only bring the agressive side. I know you have both.
Thanks Cube.
But I rarley allow myself to go shopping these days without the mister. :)
Cause he follows me around and I know I've got to focus.
Otherwise who knows how much money I would spend - especially now that the Christmas stuff is out.
