If you google hey jude and get real close to your computer - up will
come Paul McCartney's big beautiful eyes and when I am practicing
my hey jude tribute for when I go on Letterman if he ever responds to
my email I mean it's been goin' on eight months...


But I will say this right now - and I can undertand if anyone wants to
p*ke from hearing me say one more time that I owe someone...

But really  - John Lennon - this one's for you.



I never liked John Lennon.

Couldn't stand to look at him.

I wasn't even sorry when he was so tragically shot down in front
of his apartment that day.

And even then - up until the last few years - I couldn't figure it out.

And then one day I read that he said that when he was growing up
that he always got in trouble.


BECAUSE OF HIS FACE.

PEOPLE JUST THOUGHT THAT HE LOOKED LIKE A
NATURAL BORN TROUBLEMAKER.


And well you can't know what that meant to me.

Because I realize that that is the reason I never liked him.

It was his face.


I've made my Peace with John Lennon and I'm so glad about that.

I know now that John Lennon was One of the Good Ones.
