Yes - This is Super Tuesday - Politically Speaking.
And anytime that we have an Election Year - here in the
Really Cool United States of America - It Is Super.
Today just happens to be the Super Tuesday when the
Republicans finish up the business of deciding who is
going to be their candidate for -
President of the United States of America.
So - in fact - folks - it Really is a Super Tuesday.
Because here in America - we get to decide who is going to be
OUR PRESIDENT
And That Is A Good Thing.
~~~
Now just about an hour ago I broke of out my Self-Imposed Prison
and made a break for the Mall - with $15 of Mad Money in my Possession.
And here's what happened:
~during the 5 minute drive I listened to The Boss sing of Glory Days -
and was glad that I do not consider high school that
~as I walked to the entrance of the Mall I totally enjoyed the Beautiful
and Glorious Day - mild temps and blue skies - with my very recently
chopped off too short (did it myself :]) white hair blowing in the breeze and I did my part to keep our Really Cool Country looking good by picking
up two pieces of trash and depositing them in the trash receptacle at the
entrance to the Mall - it made me feel good
~did the perimeter of Target and picked one out a blue/green plastic cup and
a magazine - both of which I put back before leaving - made me feel good
~decided that I would ask for money from the hubby :[ for one Spring outfit
~chatted with the Black lady employee who was stationed by the shopping
carts about the mild weather - and wondered why she was stationed there(?)
~walked briskly to the Mall door and was amazed - but not Really - since this town is Somewhere Over The Rainbow as far as such nice People goes - as a nice lady stood and waited for me to get to the door so she could hold it for me with a smile on her face
But it was as I drove away - resisting the urge to drive over to Pier 1
to check out the Clearance Rack - that I Just Knew what Really made this
a Super Tuesday:
THE OVERSIZED OLD GLORY WAVING SO PERFECTLY AND SO BEAUTIFULLY IN THE BREEZE
In closing I would just like to say -
I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN - ON SUPER TUESDAY.
