HOW TO WATCH REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER WITHOUT BEING OVERLY OFFENDED

I will walk you through each Segment of Real Time With Bill Maher -
and tell ya just which parts you can expect to be most offended by.

Let's separate Real Time into two parts (as far as being Offensive):

If you are Easily Offended by Nasty Words and Dirty Jokes

If you are a Republican


The Opening Segment

If ya are a Republican who is BOTH offended by Nasty Words AND
don't want to hear THE MASTER OFFENDER offend you - simply turn the
sound off for the Opening Monologue - Folks - it's as simple as that.

The First Interview

This is a Serious and Very Good Segment - and you will like it - and
it is rarely Offensive. Tomorrow night there will probably be an
Interview with the Israeli Ambassador to the United States -
Michael Oren - in this Segment. The Interview can last at least
15 minutes - and is ALWAYS Good. And since there has been discussion
about Israel/Iran lately - this is Very Timely. And you know Bill -
folks - he doesn't cut Anyone Any Slack.

The Panel

The Panel normally consists of Two Men - and a Woman - and these People
are Usually Sharp and Unpretentious - like the Real Time Host Himself.

It is safe to watch all of the Really Great Panel Discussion - since
the Panel may even contain Republicans. These People are Polite and
Civil - and it can be Great Fun - even exciting - as they - at times -
get going - AND ALL TALK AT ONCE.

I Believe that the People on the Panel - at times - become so engrossed
in the Stimulating Discussion & and the Exciting Exchange of Ideas -
THAT THEY ACTUALLY LOSE SIGHT OF THE FACT THAT THEY ARE ON TELEVISION.

And Bill himself - interjects his own Views on Issues - in a way so that
he shows the Panel that it is his show - but without being - Pushy or
Overbearing.

Warning: During this Segment - Bill sometimes throws in littler Segments -
but they are not so Bad - and he doesn't dwell on them - and anyway -
they are just in Fun.

The Second Interview

This is what I like best - because often it is a 'color' guest - maybe
an actor - once a chef - or a Contributing Editor from Rolling Stone -
my personal fave. At any rate - tomorrow night it will be Jon Hamm - an actor who won a Golden Globe for Mad Men.

Now the fun part is - that although Bill interviews this Guest in his - or her - own right - that Guest also takes part in the overall Panel Discussion.

New Rules

This is when Bill gives Three or Four New Rules - and these are Equally
Offensive & can Offend ANYONE - Folks. But normally they are Brilliant
Comedy - and Funny as all get out.

The Last New Rule ends when Bill turns and faces the camera - and gives
a Funny - but Serious - Editorial on the Subject of That New Rule.

Questions from the Audience - written and submitted ahead of time.

I mentioned in a Previous Post - that OFTEN THIS LAST TEN MINUTES -
OF OVERTIME - YEILDS SOME OF THE BEST AND MOST IMPORTANT DISCUSSION.
