LBJ was a politician in every sense of the word.
The strength of his Presidency lay in Domestic Issues.
The Vietnam War wasn't his fault.
He didn't start it.
He became President when John F. Kennedy was assassinated.
He pushed Civil Rights through so that JFK's legacy could live on.
He knew when it was time not to perpetuate his own Dreams - for the
sake of his Country.
He had a family that stood by him and loved him.
He had had a vision about being President when he was a boy.
When his time came he did his best - under what were not the easiest
circumstances.
Jackie Kennedy once declared him to be her favorite dance partner.
Lyndon Baines Jonhson was the Thirty-Sixth President of the United States.
He was born in central Texas on August 27th, 1908 and died of a heart attack
at his Texas ranch on January 22nd, 1973.
