update on la boheme

As I was organizing my cd's today I found that I have one that
has nine selections from La Boheme on it.  Now I knew that I
had it but with the move and all - and the Holidays - I had
forgotten about it. 

So before I went to see La Boheme at the MAC I could have
listened to this - and I would have - because I like to know
what I'm in for.


But I'm listening to it right now - and I know this much:


I will never go see La Boheme again because the Beauty
of that Opera is the Music - the Stunningly Wonderful Arias,
etc. and seeing La Boheme in person is just too - depressing.

But I can enjoy Puccini's over the top music right here in my
kitchen.




and anyway - once you've seen the spectacular sets at the
MAC - and they were really good folks - I'm pretty sure
that it just doesn't get any better than that




In April I'm going to see Candide -I've already got my ticket
for the fifth row center down in front - and if I had the big
bucks you can be sure I would donate heavily to the Arts -
but not just anyplace.




I would shell out big time - to the MAC.




or the Maui Arts and Cultural Center - cause I googled
that and it sounds like a pretty good place




I mean - Bill Maher is doing a show there tonight and well -
that's good enough for me.
