truth on a wednesday evening

will we hear

what will they say

where will we be -  month from today

why do they keep on saying things

will they ever stop the things so mean

who was it we looked up to

was it the same one that will not do

what seems so right but still they say

why should we care lets let it lay

when things get tough we just go on

where weve been the same old song

who was it then we did admire

will he come back put out the fire

well i dont think so alls the same

when folks just want to play the game

Feeling a bit cynical today, are we???

JC - Maybe.

But despondent is the word I like to use to describe last night's mood.

And it is a mood that I find to be ongoing these days.

It's not always there, but usually rears it ugly head before the day is through.

Sometimes, though, I bring it on purposely by thinking about or looking at a picture of Jackson Pollock - it's the creativity in me. :=)

lol! Jackson Pollock...

You do realize he was sponsored by the CIA to destroy Soviet art, don't you...

Nihilism, thy name is Pollock. And I'd avoid him, were I you. ;)

Legion - Nobody tells me who to avoid. I need Jackson Pollock because we are partners in desponency. He is the artist I will never be. I need to look at his picture and wish I could console him.

I will decide who I need in my life when others let me down.
I use these people (and there are two of them) when that is all I have.

I wasn't telling you, I was merely recommending. I don't give other people "orders" anymore. If you want to commiserate with Jackson Pollock, that's YOUR business. I was merely warning you as to the functional "purpose" his work once served.
