Cube - We have had some good family times. We had an afternoon of extended family time - a couple of nieces - a four month old baby and of course the daughters and their families.
Cube - I'm sure you can wait until your girls get married. But grandchildren come in different stages. The baby that is so precious right until the kids who run around your house.
Cube - You have the right idea about grandchildren. They have to respect your house when they visit and you have to establish that from the start. Otherwise they will walk right over you.
I have no experience with grandchildren, but I do know about nieces and nephews. So far, I haven't had to pull rank. They're sweet, well-behaved children.

If a grandbaby is causing a ruckus, then that grandbaby is going to get a talking to and grandma can be a scary person when she wants to be.
